Upgrading roads, power infrastructure priority of Government: Kavinder

JAMMU, Dec 25: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta kick started the Kitchen Shed work at Bhalla enclave in Ward-51, near Mandir which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said Gandhi Nagar has improved in every sphere since December, 2014 from the date he was elected from the constituency to Assembly. He said “upgradation of basic infrastructure such as water, power and roads in J&K is priority for Union Government”.
Local leaders and corporators of the area were also present in the programme.
He said in Channi alone, 20 crore deep drain project has been completed, three toilet complexes (Sulabh Souchalyas), in power sector many transformers have been upgraded along with two number 20MVA substations, widening and blacktopping of almost all the main & interior lanes, tiling works of lanes and upgradation and improvement in the water supply schemes have been completed.
Gupta said, maximum road length of Gandhi Nagar constituency has been blacktopped. Not only the pace, but focus was being laid on maintaining the quality of the works being taken up by the Government in J&K. “This has become possible only due to the efficient and honest working of the BJP Government which is keen to take development to every nook and corner of J&K” he added.
He further informed that the work for upgradation of lanes & drains under Panchayats & JMC and other projects is in progressive mode which can be witnessed from the projects running in every corner of the Gandhi Nagar.
On the improving situation in Kashmir valley, Gupta said that over 7000 Paramilitary troops have been withdrawn from Valley as the condition is improving on fast track. Due to the able leadership and strong policy & strategy of Home Minister, Amit Shah this has been possible, Gupta added. He said more troops will also be withdrawn in phased manner as per the situation and congratulated the public of Kashmir for not adhering to the false propaganda of the Kashmir based parties and separatists.
