JAMMU, June 16: Residents of Upper Sangrampur in Ward No. 75 have demanded construction of a dilapidated lane in their area which is full of mud and it becomes very difficult during rainy days to move through it.
Residents of the area led by Sunny Thakur, Social Activist urged upon the PWD Department to construction the lane in the area and also maintain the drainage system there.
They appealed to the concerned Chief Engineer to immediately issue tender in this regard so that construction work may start before the rainy season as there are 60 residential houses in the lane which are affected by the bad condition of the lane and due to poor drainage system dirty water enters into in the lane making it difficult for the pedestrians to move.
The locals who have demanded the construction of lane were Anil Manhas, Shams Din, Sudam Hussain, Rahul Singh, Ranjeet Bandral, Chager Singh, Joginder Parihar and others.
