Urad, its dal down on sluggish demand

 

NEW DELHI, Sept 14:  Prices of urad and its dal declined by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand against sufficient supplies.

Marketmen said sluggish demand against adequate supplies from producing regions mainly helped urad and its dal prices to decline.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,450-3,850 and Rs 4,550-4,850 and urad dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by the same margin to Rs 4,950-5,450 and Rs 5,450-5,650 per quintal, respectively.

The following were today’s pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 3,450-3,850, Urad Chilka (local) 4,550-4,850, best 4,950-5,450, Dhoya 5,450-5,650, Moong 5,200-5,600, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,700-6,100, Moong Dhoya local 5,900-6,000, and best quality 6,550-6,650.

Masoor small 4,150-4,350, bold 4,300-4,400, Dal Masoor local 4,850-4,950, best quality 4,900-5,000, Malka local 4,800-4,900, best 5,000-5,100, Moth 3,250-3,850, Arhar 3,750-4,150, Dal Arhar Dara 5,450-5,650.

Gram 3,200-3,850, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,700-3,800, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,550, Rajdhani 1,550, Rajmah Chitra 8,500-10,500, Kabli Gram small 3,800-5,800, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,100-5,200, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 3,000-3,150. (PTI)
