Urs of Shah Asrar-ud-Din celebrated with great fervour

KISHTWAR, Nov 10: The annual Urs of Hazarat Shah Asrar-ud-Din was celebrated with religious fervour here, today in which devotees from across the erstwhile Doda district participated.
One of the most revered saints of Kishtwar, Shah Asrar represents the common cultural heritage and mutual love between various communities of this area. Every year thousands of devotees from all walks of life and different religions and regions thronged the famous shrine of Shah Asrar-ud-Din in Kishtwar to pay their reverence to the pious saint and seek his blessings.
District administration in collaboration with the Auqaf Islamia ensured all arrangements for the peaceful and hassle-free celebration of the annual Urs for which large number of devotees visited the shrine.
All the line departments were directed by the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma to provide all facilities to the devotees like uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, essential items, Shamyanas, security, transport, sanitation on the occasion. At the shrine complex, a joint control room was established at Chowgan ground.
On the occasion district Administration in collaboration with Police Department and District Information Centre, Kishtwar established a control room to sensitise and aware the public to follow the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour.
