US move buttresses Pandits’ claim: PK

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 27: Panun Kashmir (PK) held an emergency meeting of its Executive Council today at Jammu to deliberate upon the US Administration move to declare the so-called Chief of the Hizbul Mujahidin as a global terrorist. The meeting was presided over by the president of P K, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo and attended by all the office bearers and the Executive members.
During the meeting a joint  statement was issued by Ashwani Chrungoo, and Virender Raina, national spokesperson-PK expressing their great satisfaction on the US administration move to declare Syed Salahuddin the so-called Chairman of the terrorist conglomerate United Jehad Council as a Global terrorist thereby rubbishing the so called Azadi movement in Kashmir. P K had all along maintained that the so-called movement in Kashmir is a radical Islamic movement and the US move in declaring the so-called Chairman of the United Jehad Council as a Global Terrorist buttresses our claim.
The move is highly significant politically as it completely and unequivocally dismisses the so-called Azadi movement in Kashmir as terrorism and the head of this movement as a Global Terrorist, the statement said.
The other facet of the move of the US administration completely exposes Pakistan as the epicentre of the Global terrorism as the so-called Chairman of the UJC is based in Pakistan for the last many years directing the terror activities under the guidance of ISI.
P K has all along maintained that the so called movement in Kashmir is part of the pan-Islamic Jehad that has wrought havoc on the peace loving Kashmiri Pandits resulting in their exodus from their abode of more than 5000 years. The indigenous population of Kashmir, the Kashmiri Pandits became the first victims of Islamic terrorism in Kashmir followed by ethnic cleansing and mass exodus, it added.
It said the statement of the US President that he would “destroy radical Islamic terror” has given much hope to the nationalist constituency in the State and particularly to the victims of genocide, the Kashmiri Pandit community. Panun Kashmir appealed to the Government of India to give complete and free hand to the security forces to finish this “dirty war” in Kashmir for all the times to come.”
