Use Govt-run COVID facilities for isolation: DHSK

Srinagar, June 6: On the directions of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today appealed to people to utilize Covid facilities for isolation which are run by the Government at different levels especially in rural areas.
Dr Mir Mushtaq, spokesperson of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir in a statement issued here said that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in the public interest has stressed to the Health Department that they should provide the facilities of isolation to such people who don’t have facilities of separate washrooms or separate rooms at their home.
“In this connection, the Director appealed one and all that those people who are in home isolation should come forward and take advantage of the Covid facilities,” the spokesperson said.
He appealed to the people to utilize the Covid facilities which are run by the Government at different levels from panchayat to district-level hospitals.
“It is especially for those people who do not have isolation rooms or facilities at their own home,” the Director said.
“We have created facilities at panchayat and block level besides the Covid care facilities are available in each district at various places. These facilities have all the arrangements which include food and medicine as well,” he said.
The director further said DHSK will keep a close vigil of such patients for their signs and symptoms.
