JAMMU, Jan 6: A deputation of the J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA), affiliated with School Teachers Federation of India (STFI), called on Director School Education Jammu in his office chamber under the leadership of Pradeep Singh Jamwal, Working President and submitted a memorandum to focus on the long pending demands.
Demands mentioned in the memorandum included transfers under ATD 2023 in favour of Masters working in far-flung area, implement transfer policy for Grade II & Grade III Teachers especially for married female, suitable modification of recently adjusted Head Masters who are suffering from chronicle and life consuming diseases or under serious medical condition, allocation of funds to facilitate biometric attendance and to maintain day to day expenditure especially in primary and middle schools, filling up existing vacant posts of Masters, Headmasters, Lecturers and fourth class by DPC and teachers by new appointments.
USTA also demanded regularization of all in charge lecturers, Headmasters, ZEOs and other officers instead of assigning look after charge, withdraw teachers, masters and lecturers from all types of non academic duties, clear pending time bound promotion cases of Masters and clear permission case files to acquire higher qualifications.
Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma gave patient hearing and held detailed discussion on all demands one by one and assured the delegation that DPC of teachers, masters will be made within few days and pending files of time bound promotion and permission cases will be cleared soon and other issues put forth by the association will also be resolved in a time bound manner.
The other prominent members of the delegation included Hari Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Pradeep Singh Jamwal, Roop Chand, Malik Younus Rahi, JA Malik, D P Angral, Ganesh Datt, Santosh Kumar, Vijay Kumar and others.
