USTA highlights demands

JAMMU, Aug 27: J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) today highlighted their demands in its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Hari Singh, provincial president of the association.
The meeting discuss present education scenario and discussed various issues of teaching community like adjustment of dropout masters whose DPC was made in February 2014, deputing untrained graduate and post graduate teachers for BEd training instead of DEEd, confirmation of all incharge lecturers and Headmasters and others officers working in their own pay and scale and clearing all permission cases pending with various Chief Education Officers.
The meeting also discussed the demand of release of pending salaries and other arrears of teachers working under SSA and RMSA, transfer of Masters and Lecturers working in far flung areas for more than two years to their home localities, release of Senior Teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, transfer policy for regularized ReT Teachers, etc.
The meeting appealed the Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari to personally intervene to resolve long pending issues of teaching community at an earliest otherwise teaching community will have to resort to agitation path.
