JAMMU, Oct 8: Demanding modification of the transfer orders, which have been issued in violation of the Transfer Policy norms, and highlighting their long pending demands, members of J&K United School Teachers Association today held a strong protest demonstration at the Directorate of School Education premises.
Led by USTA provincial president,  Hari Singh, the protesting teachers raised slogans in support of their demands, which included; modification of irrational transfer orders, release of pending salary and , 4th  and 5th installment of 6th Pay Commission of SSA teachers, adjustment of Master promoted under DPC of 2014 February, regularization of ReT teachers, etc. The protesting teachers also staged a dharna there.

USTA general secretary Rajeev Kumar, while addressing,   expressed grave concern over the non serious and indifferent attitude of State Government towards genuine demands of teaching community. He  warned that if the Government takes no action on their demands, the USTA would have no option other than to adopt agitational path.
The protest dharna was also addressed by others, who demanded, release of Senior Teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, removal of pay anomalies in their grades, release of pay arrears of teachers working under SSA, regularization of all ReT, converted from EVs and who have completed five year of service, transfer policy for regularized ReT women teachers, filling up of vacant posts in school, etc.
