USTA zonal conference organized

KATHUA, Apr 15: One day conference of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) of zone Hiranagar and Sallan was held at Dhalli, Dyalachack under the presidium of Roop Chand, Rajeev Kumar and Hari Singh.
In the day-long session, detailed discussion was held on the present education scenario and service conditions of the teaching community. Several resolutions were also adopted in the conference.
These resolutions include; debar teachers from all type of non-academic duties, engage teachers to run community classes especially in rural areas instead of online teaching, release time bound promotion in favour of teachers unnecessarily withheld in District Kathua, adopt transparent transfer policy and transfer all Teachers, Masters, Lecturers who have completed two years in far flung areas, adopt transfer policy for grade II and III teachers especially married women, fill vacant posts of Masters, Lecturers, Headmasters, ZEOs, Principals and others by way of DPC in Education Department, regularise all incharge lecturers Headmasters and other officers, start Pre Primary classes in all schools having Primary classes with infrastructure and withdraw new pension scheme and implement old pensions scheme for all.
On the occasion, the conference elected committee for both the zones. The committee comprised of Balvinder Singh, Man Prakash, Ravikumar, Ravinder Singh as President, Secretary, Cashier and Senior Vice President. respectively. Sanjay Kumar and Arun Singh were elected as Vice Presidents, Kulvinder Kumar and Gulshan Kumar as Organisers, Santosh Kumar and Vishal Malhotra as Advisors for zone Hiranagar and Parshant Khajuria, Som Dutt, Suresh Kumar, Ajeet Kumar, as President, Secretary, Cashier and Senior Vice President respectively. Narender Kumar and Praveen Bharti were elected as Vice Presidents, Vaishno Dutt and Khalid Hussain as Organisers, Mohan Singh, Subhash Choudhary and Ashok Kumar as Advisors for zone Sallan.
