KARGIL, Dec 19: Consequent upon the enforcement of the J&K Re-organization Act, 2019, for the purpose of Registration Act, 1908 (Central Act), the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh today assigned duties of Registrars/Sub-Registrars to officers.
In this regard vide an order issued by the Secretary, Revenue Department Ladakh, Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas, has been assigned the duties of Inspector General of Registration, Ladakh in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Moreover, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh Zahida Bano, has been assigned the duties of Registrar, Leh, and Additional Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Kargil Sonam Chosjor, has been assigned the duties of Registrar, Kargil/Sub-Registrar, Tehsil Kargil in addition to her/his own duties.
Likewise, all the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of Leh and Kargil districts have been assigned the duties of Sub-Registrars of their concerned sub-divisions in addition to their own duties till further orders.
The officers include Ghulam Mehdi, SDM Shakar Chiktan who has been assigned the duties of Sub Registrar Shakar Chiktan, Pawan Kumar, SDM Drass Sub Registrar of Drass, Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, SDM Sankoo Sub Registrar of Sankoo, Rakesh Sharma, SDM Zanskar Sub Registrar of Zanskar, Sonam Norbo, SDM Nubra Sub Registrar of Nubra, Rigzin Spalgon, SDM Durbuk Sub Registrar of Durbuk, Jigmet Raftan, SDM Nyoma Sub Registrar of Nyoma, Satish Kumar, SDM Liker Sub Registrar of Liker, Tsering Motup, SDM Khaltsi Sub Registrar of Khaltsi, Abdul Gaffar Zargar, SDM Kharu Sub Registrar of Kharu and Rigzin Spalgon, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Leh Sub Registrar of Tehsil Leh.
The Registrars and Sub-Registrars shall exercise the powers of registration within the jurisdiction defined in S.O 05 dated: 18.12.2019.
