UTF discusses demands

JAMMU, Oct 27: A meeting of JK United Teachers Federation, (UTF) district Jammu, was held  here today under the chairmanship of  district president Farooq Ahmad to discuss the School education scenario in the State.
The speakers took strong note of the functioning of the present educational administration who kept criminal silence over the malfunctioning in the Education Department and turning the deaf ear to the problems being faced by the teachers and students together. The high headedness of the administration has resulted in anguish and resentment among the teachers fraternity.
The president felt concern over the non release of salaries to the Masters and teachers who are working under SSA and RMSA for last more than five months, no mid-day meal amount due for cooking material has been released and the shopkeeper has refused to issue the cooking material without clearing their balance amount resulting the teachers have been forced to prepare mid-day meal. ReT Teachers who have completed five years of moratorium since have not been confirmed for the last two years without any relevant reasons.
Others present in the meeting were Rash Pal Singh, Sushma Rani, Renu Bala and Raj Kumar.
