Uttering Jinnah was a slip of tongue: Shatrughan Sinha

NEW DELHI: Congress candidate from Bihar’s Patna Sahib Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday clarified that it was a slip of tongue that he uttered Muhammad Ali Jinnah, when he actually wanted to say Maulana Azad.
Addressing the mediapersons, Mr Sinha said,”Whatever I said yesterday was slip of tongue. I wanted to say freedom fighter Maulana Azad but uttered Muhammad Ali Jinnah”.
Addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh, where Shatrughan Sinha had gone to campaign for Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath, who is contesting the national election from the Chhindwara parliamentary constituency, Mr Sinha said,”the Congress family, from Mahatma Gandhi to Sardar Patel to Mohammad Ali Jinnah to Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi to Rahul Gandhi to Netaji Subhash Chnadra Bose.
It is their party. They had the most important role in development and freedom of the country. This is the reason why I have come here (in Congress),”
