The Election Commission of India must end the practice of candidates contesting from two places simultaneously. No candidate should be allowed to contest from two places as after winning election from both the places, it is mandatory for them to vacate one seat. Then elections are to be held once again for the vacant seat which involves a huge sum of tax payers money.
This sum could be invested somewhere else in a development work. A poor country like India can not afford recurrent elections.
To avoid such a situation, it is quite imperative that Election Commission while initiating electoral reforms gives importance to this aspect as well.
