JAMMU, June 13: High Court will remain closed for summer vacation from June 15 to June 30 (both days inclusive).
Meanwhile, in terms of the Rule 12 of J&K High Court Rules, 1999, Chief Justice has nominated the Judges to be Vacations Judges for both wings of the High Court to hear matters which may be required to be immediately or promptly dealt with for the respective periods.
According to the notification issued by Registrar General Kanzeez Fatima, Justice BS Walia will be Vacation Judge of Jammu Wing from June 22 onwards and and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat will be Vacation Judge of Srinagar Wing from June 22 onwards.
Meanwhile, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu has nominated three Sessions Judges to deal with emergent criminal cases of Jammu district. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu RS Jain will hold the court from June 15 to June 19, Y P Kotwal, 3rd Additional Sessions Judge will hold the court from June 20 to June 24 and 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu M K Sharma will hold the court from June 25 to June 29.
In an another order, CJM Jammu S C Katal has nominated four Judicial Magistrates to function as Duty Magistrates during the Summer Vacation dealing with emergent criminal cases of Jammu District. Romesh Lal, Forest Magistrate Jammu will hold the court from June 15 to June 18, Parveen Pandoh, Munsiff Jammu will hold the court from June 19 to June 22, O P Bhagat, Special Passenger Tax Magistrate will hold the court from June 23 to June 25 and Riaz-ul-Haq Mirza, Special Electricity Magistrate will hold the court from June 26 to June 29.
Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Dhar will also hold the court during the Summer Vacation.
