JAMMU, May 25: Keeping in view of intense heat wave and sudden rise of temperature in the region, the Department of School Education has decided to prepone the summer vacations from June 4 to May 28.
This has been informed by the Minister for School Education Choudhary Zulfkar Ali in a tweet.
“The summer vacations are pre-poned from 4th June to 28th May and the schools will reopen on July 16, instead of 23rd July,” he tweeted late tonight.
Earlier, in the day, the Directorate of School Education had issued the order for summer vacations in Government as well as private schools from June 4 to July 28.
