Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies of cardiac arrest; 3 others hurt in road mishap

REASI, July 14: A Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim from Bihar died apparently because of cardiac arrest at Katra while three women pilgrims from Jharkhand, who were on way to Shiv Khori shrine, met with an accident near Ransoo and sustained minor injuries.
Reports said that a male pilgrim from Bihar collapsed at pony stand near Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The deceased was identified as Anil Sharma, son of Baijnath Sharma, resident of Pakdi Bengali, Anchal Thana Panchrukhi District Siwan in Bihar.
He was going to base camp Katra after paying obeisance at the holy cave shrine when he suddenly fell unconscious near pony stand. With the help of Shrine Board officials, he was rushed to Dispensary Bhawan where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile three Shiv Khori pilgrims were injured when a minibus turned turtle on road near Ransoo. The minibus, bearing registration number JK02BF- 6253 was going from Katra to Shiv Khori when it met with the accident near Ransoo base camp of Shiv Khori shrine.
The injured were shifted to Ransoo PHC and discharged after first aid. They were identified as Anita Devi, wife of Ram Dayal, Srestra Devi wife of Parlahad Chand and Purnima Devi wife of Chader Shekhar. All are residents of Ranchi, Jharkhand. They were going to Shiv Khori after paying obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.
