REASI, Feb 23: A Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim died on track near Himkoti in Sanji Chhat area of Katra this evening.
The eye-witnesses said that man was seen walking towards Shrine at around 6.20 pm and suddenly fell down and turned unconscious near Himkoti’s hilly track. He was rushed to Health Centre at Adhkumari where he was declared as dead. Later, he was identified as Dheeraj Vatas (36), son of Suresh Chander, resident of Uttam Nagar, Delhi. The body was later shifted to Katra base camp hospital for postmortem. The police suspects that heart attack was the apparent reason behind the death.
