JAMMU, Feb 22: Vaishno Group of Colleges, with an aim of all round development of the student community, conducted its annual mega event Techno Mania 2014 – the technical-cum- cultural festival of Vaishno Group of Colleges successfully.
On the occasion, chief guest, Dr R P Kudyar, Director, Principal, ASCOMS, Jammu along with Ranjeet Singh, president, Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society, Sunil Gupta,Varun Gupta and Rahul Pathania, Directors, Vaishno Group of Colleges, Principal Lt Col AK Khajuria, Shivam Pathania, Ankush Gupta, Ritu Gupta, Muskan Pathania and Richa Gupta graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Apart from the fun and frolic, the students were made aware of the career prospects in science and technology through the “Information Centre”-a dedicated database of career opportunities for engineering and diploma graduates.
Techno Mania proved to be a golden opportunity for students to exhibit their talents in technical events like robotics, computer programming, project display, technical quiz and paper presentation. The cultural and art events included declamation, Rangoli, poster making, dance, orchestra and mimes.
The star of the evening was the Popular Punjabi Singer, Sharry Maan who made the audience tap their feet to his songs. Students danced their heart off on the star’s rocking numbers and cheers echoed all over.
The grand-event, Techno Maina 2014 came to an end with distribution of prizes to the winners of the events and the university position holders.
