Vajpayee was architect of Good Governance: BJP

JAMMU, Dec 23: J&K BJP will celebrate the Good Governance Day on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
This was stated by Arun Gupta, State convenor of BJP Department of Good Governance and Center State Coordination during a press conference here at BJP Headquarters.
J&K BJP media in charge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and Department co-convenors, Dr. Akshay Sharma, Vijay Shastri and Ajay Badu were also present in the press conference.
Arun Gupta said that Atal Ji in his tenure showed us the way that how the Government should work. He said that the former Prime Minister is the architect of the good governance vision, which paved the way for the politics of inclusive justice and Government. He said “We not only work for the Government, but for the people and took political parties belonging to the opposite ideologies in good spirit”.
“To celebrate that spirit of good governance, BJP will celebrate the day at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar on December 25. Similar programmes will also be held in all districts to be attended by the district teams and other party activists. Members of the beneficiary families of the public welfare schemes will also participate in those programmes,” Gupta said.
Gupta said that the public welfare steps were taken with a vision to benefit every citizen of the nation. Especially those areas were targeted which had poor connectivity or poor resources and special emphasis was given on the communities who were earlier neglected for one reason or other, he said.
Today, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is moving forward on the same lines drawn by Atal Ji. Modi Ji’s target is to empower the citizens with empathy and bringing governance to everybody’s doorsteps. To emphasize importance of such reforms and to highlight the vision of Atal Ji which directs every Government to work dedicatedly for the welfare of the public, the day is being celebrated, Arun Gupta added.
