Vakil addresses INTUC convention at Jammu

Senior Congress leader and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil addressing Convention of INTUC at Jammu on Sunday.

Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today while addressing a Workers Convention of Indian National Trade Union Congress at Jammu and hailed Rahul Gandhi on deliverance of a successful and historic speech at Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) meet, where he not only made the India Incorporation abreast with the prevailing ground realities in our system but also encouraged them for their role in changing the image of India abroad.
Mr. Vakil, while referring to Rahul Gandhi’s speech said that we appreciate and agree that the role of elected representatives at Parliament and Vidhan Sabha level is primarily to make laws and certainly leave the developmental part to the village and block levels which presently is missing in Jammu and Kashmir and this lacuna is basic cause of growing unrest and people are getting alienated.
While addressing the convention Mr Vakil impressed upon all to adopt the view points of Mr Rahul for chalking out future strategies viz-a-viz economic and educational policies. He also invited the attention of the policy makers and industrialists towards a mention in the speech of Rahul Gandhi, that the democracy and technology have triggered an irreversible development of India, which needs continuous sustenance.
Addressing the gathering, Jugal Kishore Sharma Senior Vice President INTUC, also hailed the said speech and said that it reminds people of our revolutions beginning from green to white revolution and IT/ Telecom revolution which will go a long way in helping Congress party to have a strong poll plank in next elections and also give right directions to the leaders who are supposed to strengthen the party at all levels.
Besides others who addressed the gathering include Chief J&K Sevadal Balvinder Singh Sambyal, State Secretary Sevadal Nissar Ahmad Khan and several others.
