Srinagar, Mar 12: A businessman from Valley, who was hacked to death in Russia by “goons”, was today laid to rest in city’s Rainawari locality.
Twenty seven year old, Yasir Sherazi, was hacked to death by unidentified goons early this week at Kazan province of Russia and was also robbed by the assailants. Even as he was hospitalized but he succumbed to his injuries and his death was announced by External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on Twitter.
The body of the slain today reached his home today at Hassanabad in Rainawari and amid sobs and tears he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. Hundreds of his relatives, friends and neiighbours attended the funeral of slain.
The family of the youth has sought strict action against the accused and appealed Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj, to take up the matter with Russia at highest level. Pertinently, Sushma had said that she would take up the matter with Russia.
