Valour of martyr ASI Babu Ram recognized by awarding Ashoka Chakra: Family

MENDHAR, Aug 16: Government of India has recognized the valour by awarding Ashoka Chakra, said Reena Devi, wife of martyr Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Babu Ram.
It is pertinent to mention here that martyr ASI Babu Ram, who sacrificed his life while fighting terrorists in Kashmir, has been awarded Ashoka Chakra by Government of India on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.
Reena Devi while interacting with the EXCELSIOR said that, “We are sad as he is not with us but I am proud of my husband who sacrificed his life for the country”.  The family members of the martyr expressed gratitude to the Government of India for recognizing the valour of ASI Babu Ram. Manik Sharma, son of martyr ASI Babu Ram said that his father laid down his life for the sake of the country.  “I have only one dream and that is to serve the country by joining the security forces like my father. I just need help from the Government to realise my dream”. He added.
Saanvi Sharma, daughter of martyr ASI Babu Ram called her father the hero of the country. “Today my father is not with us but his presence is always with us. I am proud of the country’s great honour that my father has received. I want the Government to help me so that after completing my studies, I too serve the Army by becoming a doctor”.
Gulshan Kumar, brother of martyr said, “I am happy and fell proud of my brother that he has received Ashok Chakra”.
Hindu Sanatan Sabha President Balram Sharma saluted the martyrdom of ASI Babu Ram and welcomed the honour received by him from the Government.
