Various educational institutions celebrate R-Day with patriotic fervour, zeal

JAMMU, Jan 27: Various educational institutions celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour and zeal.
65th Republic Day was celebrated at University of Jammu with patriotic fervor. Prof MP Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, unfurled the National Flag at Fountain Plaza and released the tricolour Balloons. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor said that each one of us must contribute in nation building in own humble ways. Earlier Prof Pankaj Srivastava, Dean Students Welfare, delivered the welcome address. At the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Guard of Honour was presented by the Jammu University Security Personal led by Captain SR Dubey, Security Officer. A Cultural item was presented by the twinkling kids from the University of Jammu. Prof Neeru Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Apoorva Jamwal, Secretary, SCC, Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Kulwant Kour, Dean Research Studies, Prof. MK Dhar, Registrar, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Rector, Kathua Campus, Prof VD Singh, Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director, Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dalip Singh, President, JUTA, besides many others were present on the occasion.Prof Ganai, President, KUTA, Jaikumar Sharma, Sp. Secretary to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prakishat Singh Manhas, Associate Dean (SW), Dr. Abdul Rashid Manhas, Assistant Dean (SW), Dr. Yudhbir Singh, Assistant Dean (SW), Directors of the Offsite Campus,  Heads, Faculty Members, Wardens of different Hostels, Officers, Office bearers of the Teaching, Non-Teaching and Class Fourth Association, staff, research scholars and students of the University, were also present.
On the occasion of 65th Republic Day, Tricolour was unfurled by Prof Sudhir K Jain,  Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University at the Inauguration Pavilion, University Campus in presence of Registrar, Roop Avtar Kaur, deans, directors, faculty members, staff and students. Prof. Jain dwelt upon the role of universities in achieving the desired goal.
Bhaderwah Campus, Jammu University celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion, Prof GM Bhat, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, faculty members, scholars, students of all the departments, members of non-teaching staff of the campus were present. Academic Coordinator Kuljeet Singh unfurled the National Flag, followed by cultural items by students.
Government College of Education celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion Principal Dr Kashual Samotra unfurled the National Flag, followed by National Anthem.
Government Polytechnic Jammu celebrated Republic Day. On this occasion Arun Bangotra, Principal hoisted the flag and threw light on the importance of the day. Manjeet Singh, HoD Electrical, Krishan Singh, Lecturer Civil, Rakesh Kakkar, Sports Teacher and students were also present.
Government Polytechnic for Women, Lower Shiv Nagar celebrated Republic Day. Principal of the institution Neetu Maini hoisted the national flag in presence of Er Verma, ex-secretary, SBOTE, Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Ex-principal, staff members and students.
Government Degree College Thanna Mandi in collaboration with Revenue Department, 38 RR and Sports Department celebrated Republic Day in the college premises. Tehsildar Farooq Ahmed Khan hoisted the flag, took salute and delivered inaugural speech. Principal Government Degree College Thanna Mandi Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Commanding Officer 38 RR R Ramanathan, SDPO Thanna Mandi Mujeeb-ul-Rehman, staff members and students were also present.
Bhargava Degree College, Samba celebrated 65th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. On the occasion, Ex-MLA Parkash Sharma unfurled the National Flag in presence of faculty members and students. A cultural programme was also presented by the students.
Sant Mela Singh College of Education, celebrated Republic Day. SS Bijral, Former IGP unfurled the National Flag and took salute. A cultural programme was presented by students. Principal of the college Dr Kiran Luthra, staff members and students were also present.
RM Group of Institutes celebrated Republic Day. Trustee Rita Mengi and Principal Dr PK Dhar along with staff and students hoisted the National Flag. Students of the college marched past and sung patriotic songs.
Management, staff and students of Dogra College of Education celebrated Republic Day at Dogra Educational Complex, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana. Samar Dev Singh Charak hoisted the National Flag in the presence of citizens of the locality, teaching faculty and teacher trainees.
Republic Day was celebrated at Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Raipur, Bantalab. The tricolour was unfurled by general secretary of Hindu Education Society Kashmir AK Raina in presence of member EB HESK Sanjay Dhar, Principal of the college Prof GL Koul, staff members and students.
Diyaiti College, Udhampur celebrated 65th Republic Day. On the occasion BS Sambyal was the chief guest, who while speaking highlighted the importance of the day. Staff members of the college were also present.
Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) celebrated 65th Republic Day, Dr Ram A Vishwakarma, Director of Institute unfurled the National flag and took salute at the ceremonial march past by the Security men of IIIM and the students of RRL High School. Students presented cultural items including patriotic songs, bhangra and skits.

MNKG Montessori Public High School, Gandhi Nagar celebrated 65th Republic Day. The function started with unfurling of National Flag by Chairman of the School Rabinder Singh, followed by March Past, speeches cultural programme and prize distribution.
Knit Green Model Academy, Gajaysingh Pura, Sangrampur celebrated Republic Day. Prof JL Kotwal, Chairman unfurled the National Flag, followed by cultural items by students.

Government Middle School, Khearian celebrated 65th Republic Day. Students took part in march-past and also presented colourful programme. Incharge Principal Mudhu Bala unfurled the tricolor.
Republic Day celebrations were held with zeal and fervor at Patiyari, Samba wherein Shiva Ji High School Patiyari, Modern Institute of Education, Sumb, Nav Vidya High School Thalot, Goodwill Public School, Taloor, Shanti Niketan High School, Penthi, Valmiki Public School Penthi, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School Bain Glar and Shiv Shishu Siksha Kendra Sumb participated. Provincial Vice President, woman Wing, National Conference Satwant Kaur Dogra was the chief guest. She unfurled the tricolor. A cultural programme was present by the students.
Management, staff and students of Rich Harvest School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana celebrated Republic Day. Samar Dev Singh Charak hoisted the National Flag in presence of teacher, students and their parents.
Paramount Convent School, Rehari Colony celebrated republic Day. Isha Manhas, Principal hoisted the National Flag, followed by National Anthem, patriotic songs and cultural items by students.

Little Millenium, Roop Nagar celebrated Republic Day. The event was organised by JDA Club. RS Chib, Former Minister was the chief guest. Children presented cultural items. Uttam Sharma, president, Roop Nagar Welfare Association distributed gifts among the children.
65th Republic Day was celebrated by the inmates of SOS Balgran, Channi Rama. Rani Bloeria, MLC hoisted the National Flag. The inmates of the home presented cultural items. SN Sharma, vice president, Santosh Magotra, vice president, SOS Balgran, Parshotam Gupta and Brij Mohan Sharma were also present.
Republic Day was celebrated at Government Boys Pahari Hostel, Shastri Nagar. Kafil-ur-Rehman, Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for Development of Pahari People, hoisted the National Flag. The inmates of the hostel presented cultural items. Secretary Showkat Hussain Kazmi, Warden Imtiaz Banday, Manzoor Ahmed Masoodi and Fayaz Ahmed Khan, member Pahari Advisory Board were also present.
