JAMMU, Mar 26: Various political and social organisations have taken serious exception to the remarks of Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal who had said that Kashmir Files Movie is a false film.
In a statement issued here, today Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) said since this docudrama is based on the personnel testimony ad meticulous documentation of Kashmiri Pandits record this is tantamount to slander of the entire community.
Dr Surinder Kaul, co-founder GKDP sated “The entire world was shocked to see AAP legislators laughing and making a mockery of the story of KP genocide. A simple request by the public to make the movie tax free was hooted by the CM who has a past track record of granting such requests. Such discriminatory and hostile behaviour on an extremely serious subject is totally unfortunate”.
Rajesh Koul co-founder GKPD and Utpal Koul , international coordinator of the organisation have also strongly condemned the statement.
J&K BJP spokesman, YV Sharma also took strong exception to politicians from the Kashmir based People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration group led by Dr Farooq Abdullah and also those of die hard Leftist orientation across the country who don’t want to face the truth of ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus in 1989-1990 and the situation caused by the acts of omission and commission by the ruling NC-INC Government from 1987 to January 1990.
Y V Sharma also took strong exception to the theatrics of Arvind Kejriwal. He said that it does not behoove of a serving Chief Minister to comment on human tragedy about which he knows nothing.
Panun Kashmir (PK) convener and senior KP leader, Dr Agnishekhar has strongly condemned the statement of Kejriwal and termed it disgraceful for a civilized and a patriotic community. He said the words used by the Delhi CM are shocking and it seemed that he was siding with the perpetrators of genocide by denigrating the entire community which is neither acceptable nor tolerable.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) chief, Kundan Kashmiri and its senior leader Tej Pandita has also strongly condemned the statement of Kejriwal on KPs genocide and demanded that the Delhi CM should seek a public apology. Kashmiri and Pandita castigated Kejriwal for mocking the whole community that faced the genocide and atrocities through the hands of hands of Jehadis instigated by separatists and politicians with double standards.
Rakesh Handoo, spokesperson Jammu Kashmir National United Front (JKNUF) has said the entire community of Kashmiri Pandits has been shocked over the statement of Kejriwal who instead of showing sympathy with the exiled community which has been victim of genocide tried to give clean chit to the perpetrators of genocide. He said the community has taken a serious exception of the statement and will launch agitation against the Delhi CM if he fails to seek a public apology for denigrating a peace loving community.
