Various KP organizations oppose rehabilitation package

JAMMU, Sept 20: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while rejecting the rehabilitation package for the Kashmiri migrants has reiterated its demand of Kashyap State in Kashmir Valley for settlement of over seven lakh displaced Pandits there with free flow of Indian Constitution.
In a statement issued here today, KPC president Kundan Kashmiri said the pluralism has been rejected in Kashmir and the Pandits resettlement in Valley in their ancestral homes and district headquarters was not practicable under prevailing circumstances.
He said the militancy has resurfaced the Valley and there is no secure environment for the minorities to return to Valley. He warned those community leaders who are hobnobbing with Government on this issue and said that any decision taken in this regard will boomerang.
Meanwhile Jagti Coordination Committee, (JCC) representative Dilip Kumar Pandita has warned the Government of taking any decision on  migrants rehabilitation without consulting the camp inmates. He in a statement issued here, today said that camp inmates have not given mandate to any KP leader of taking a decision on their behalf.
Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) president Shadi Lal Pandita reiterated the demand of construction of three clusters for migrants rehabilitation in Valley at the headquarters of erstwhile districts of Anatnag, Srinagar and Baramulla.
