Various villages in Hiranagar face acute power crisis

HIRANAGAR, May 14: The residents of various villages in Hiranagar including Nanak Chak, Supwal, Sunjwan, Barian Camp, Tanda Burj, Chak Ramchand who were being supplied from SIDCO Line  are facing acute power crisis.
The residents of the area said that despite bringing the matter in the notice of concerned PDD authorities as well as concerned JE they failed to solve the problem.
They said the power crisis have led to the water scarcity in the area with the result people are facing many hardships. They demanded that power supply be improved in the area failing which people will come to streets.
The residents of the area said that instead of eight hour scheduled power cut the people are facing black out for 16 hours a day in this hot summer which is untolerable.
The residents have sought immediate intervention of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh who holds the portfolio of power also.
