ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 06: The inaugural week of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has unfolded as a remarkable testament to the collective spirit of over 81000 participants across 168 Gram Panchayats in District Anantnag.
Spanning across all the blocks, including areas with a substantial tribal population, the VBSY has become a vibrant tapestry of empowerment and engagement towards a shared vision of national development and integration.
The VBSY camps have emerged as dynamic hubs of activity, attracting enthusiastic individuals who actively participated in organized events and availed on-the-spot services. Health camps, a cornerstone of the Yatra, have so far witnessed an impressive turnout of 42000 participants. The camps have meticulously screened 10656 individuals for TB, 260 for Sickle Cell Anaemia, and 1500 for NCD.
Notably, 190 individuals have registered for the PM Ujjwala Yojana so far, reinforcing the campaign’s objective to raise awareness about welfare schemes.
The Yatra symbolizes India’s unwavering commitment to development, emphasizing the shared role and responsibility of citizens. Over 540 My Bharat volunteers registered, and a commendable 75000 individuals pledged allegiance to the transformative ‘Sankalp Pledge’. Recognition was extended to noteworthy individuals, including 753 women, 2151 students, 218 local artists, and 301 sports personalities, for their inspiring contributions.
More than a platform for showcasing agricultural development, the Yatra empowered farmers on the second day, featuring 90 drone demonstrations and 129 Soil Health Card demonstrations, actively engaging farmers committed to Natural Farming practices.
Government flagship schemes celebrated remarkable success, with 156 Gram Panchayats achieving 100% Ayushman Card saturation, 136 reaching 100% JJM saturation, and 168 attaining ODF+ status.
Individual success stories are taking center stage, with 2269 beneficiaries presenting ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’, so far and offering poignant testimony to the transformative impact of government schemes in their lives.
The VBSY stands as the largest-ever outreach initiative by the Government of India, aligned with the vision of inclusive development.
It reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the benefits of its schemes reach every citizen, with a steadfast aim for 100% saturation. The Yatra signifies a significant stride towards this goal through meticulous outreach, information dissemination, and empowering citizens to actively participate in the country’s development.
