JAMMU, Jan 9: In a resounding display of civic engagement, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has become a powerful catalyst for dialogue and empowerment, echoing the dreams and aspirations of diverse communities across Jammu and Kashmir.
The campaign in Kathua District has emerged as a testament to the community’s collective will. As it traversed diverse landscapes, it served as a focal point for citizens to express their concerns, hopes, and visions for a more prosperous future. Today, the yatra showcased enthusiastic participation in Nagri Parole, underscoring the vibrant spirit of the region.
Panchayats Birpur Upper and Rajpur Koular in Block Bari Brahmna of Samba District hosted a remarkable Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. This nationwide initiative enlightened citizens about flagship schemes, striving for 100% saturation of welfare programs. Locals warmly received the IEC van, actively participating in the Sankalp pledge, aligning with the vision of a developed India. Success stories under the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” initiative further emphasized the positive impact of Government schemes.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation expanded the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to Khankah e Moula and Maharaj Gunj, reaching diverse communities. The Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van was welcomed, marking a significant milestone in engaging the general public. Events at Gandhi Memorial College and Marriage Hall Rajouri Kadal showcased the Corporation’s commitment to reaching every corner of its jurisdiction.
In Block Verinag of Anantnag District, the Yatra’s journey through various areas witnessed impressive community engagement. Beyond pledges, the Yatra manifested tangible advancements, bringing together over 2.50 lakh participants across Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies. Health camps played a pivotal role, screening 93,347 individuals for prevalent health issues, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
Led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Ramban District is making significant strides. With over 80,000 participants, including 31,000 women, the 43-day initiative is gaining momentum. Special emphasis on engaging local youth and implementing crucial Government schemes is evident. Efforts to ensure widespread issuance of PM-JAY Ayushman Cards are notably improving healthcare accessibility in the region.
