JAMMU, Jan 11: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continued to empower communities across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As part of the campaign, Rajya Sabha Member Parliament (MP), Ghulam Ali Khatana participated as a Chief Guest in a function organised at Government Higher Secondary School, Pattan.
He emphasized the Central Government’s progress in Jammu and Kashmir, urging people to actively contribute in nation building.
Khatana said that the Central Government has made significant strides to build and develop Kashmir Valley which was devastated by terrorism sponsored by Pakistan.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, Jammu-Poonch constituency, also joined the nationwide Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra public outreach campaign at Panchayat Seri in Block Bhalwal of Jammu District.
He was warmly welcomed by the local residents and members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions who expressed their support for the initiative.
The MP led a collective Sankalp pledge, instilling a sense of shared commitment towards making India a developed nation by 2047.
He also interacted with the beneficiaries of various central Government schemes and witnessed a live streaming of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video message at the Government High School Seri, the venue for the day’s event.
Commissioner Secretary, GAD, Sanjeev Verma, visited Chirdi Kunddan Dubbar Panchayat in Udhampur District for a mega public outreach event under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The event addressed various demands, including road maintenance, education upgrades, and infrastructure development.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra made significant strides in Rajouri District, reaching underserved areas and ensuring the effective execution of Government programs.
IEC vans traversed through various panchayats, exemplifying the Yatra’s commitment to reaching every corner of the district.
Far-flung Sarai Panchayat in Samba District witnessed an enthusiastic Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, with active participation from local residents and PRIs.
The Yatra focused on educating citizens about flagship schemes and achieving 100% saturation of welfare initiatives. The IEC van facilitated interaction and shared success stories.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continued to gain momentum in Block Shangus, Anantnag. The IEC Van traversed through various GPs, witnessing overwhelming public participation.
Over 2.53 lakh people actively engaged, showcasing the Yatra’s impact in unifying the populace towards national development.
In Srinagar, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation successfully expanded the scope of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by organizing a camp at Daulatabad.
Various departments collaborated, promoting awareness and collaboration with citizens. Representatives elucidated the core objectives of their schemes, fostering a spirit of cooperation and knowledge-sharing.
Led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is making a significant impact in Ramban District.
With an impressive participation of 84,000, including 32,000 women, this 45-day initiative continue the flagship March to saturate all beneficiary-oriented schemes.
‘Our target is to saturate all beneficiary-oriented schemes by the end of this year.’ The Yatra is not only unifying the community but also engaging local youth and marginalized individuals” stated DC, Baseer ul Haq Choudhary.
