VBSY continues to empower people at grassroots

JAMMU, Dec 10: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a transformative campaign of the Union Government, continued to empower people at the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir.
As part of the campaign, a special IEC van reached Panchayats Gigerial and Platan of Block Khour in Jammu District amid warm welcome by the members of the Swagat Committee, PRI Members in presence of Ex MLA Krishan Lal Sharma, Block Development Officer Khour and officials of line departments and local public.
The van displayed a video message of the PM, urging the people to take a pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country. The people present at the event took the Sankalp, pledge, and expressed their commitment to the cause.
Another special van reached Panchayat Jagti and Chibba of Block Nagrota in Jammu District amid warm welcome by the local people, PRIs including Sarpanch Abha Jamwak of Jagti and Nirmala Devi of Chibba.
Block Development Officer Nagrota, Shalini Raina along with officers of Line Department viz. CDPO Dansal, R.S Jamwal, Tehsildar Kohli, Naib Tehsildar, TSWO, field Officials of different departments interacted with the people and dispensed varied services.
A vibrant tapestry of development and cultural vibrancy unfolded in Panchayat Chakroi Lower of Block Suchetgarh as well as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra ignited the hearts and minds of its residents. The event saw the convergence of government departments, local officials and the enthusiastic public.
Multiple frontline departments set up stalls showcasing their initiatives and providing on-the-spot services to residents. Free health camps were organised at three locations, offering noncommunicable diseases, anemia and TB screenings, along with counselling and awareness campaigns.
In Samba District, the yatra spread the message of development and progress as it completed its visit to total 80 Panchayats in the town.
Today, the yatra covered five more panchayats: Sarain and Papar Avtara in Nud block, Patyari Katlan in Ghagwal block, and Bagla Jakh and Salmeri in Vijaypur block. The yatra received a warm welcome from the residents and the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), who expressed their support and enthusiasm for the initiative.
The 15th day of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra witnessed significant strides, expanding its footprints to encompass 11 additional Panchayats in the Chenani, Kulwanta, Panchari, Tikri, Sewna, and Majalta Blocks of Udhampur District.
This commendable progress, achieved through the active involvement of diverse stakeholders, exemplifies the campaign’s unwavering commitment to the widespread dissemination of crucial information regarding Government schemes.
In Block Ukhral of Ramban District, the VBSY visited four Panchayats amid significant public participation.
IEC Vans, welcomed by PRIs, senior citizens, and youth, engaged the local community with audio-video material, contributing to the awareness of Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Meanwhile, enthusiastic participation was also witnessed in Panchayats Maligam-B, Pogal Upper, Phagmullah, and Bhingara of the District.
Commencing on November 28, the Yatra has gained momentum, covering 90 Panchayats across Ramban District, emphasizing the collaborative effort of all stakeholders.
In District Kishtwar, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra extended its impact to encompass six additional panchayats. The IEC campaign visited Tiyari & Ishtayari Panchayats in Block Paddar; Panchayat Chatroo Lower-C & Chatroo Lower-A of Block Inderwal and Panchayat Trigam-A & Trigam -B of Block Trigam.
The ongoing series of diverse activities under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra have sparked enthusiastic participation from local residents, showcasing a collective eagerness to witness the tangible effects of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in alignment with the spirit of VBSY.
District Doda is experiencing a transformative wave through the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. This initiative, spanning locations such as Marmat, Bhaderwah, Thathri, Bhagwah, Chiralla, Kahra, and Changa blocks, aimed at raising awareness about Government initiatives for the holistic development of the region.
The yatra left an indelible mark on the people across Roat-A, Barri, Ganika, Malwaas, N-Karyan, Diggi, Panshai Panchayats in Bhella block, Alingungot-A, Alingugot-B, and Halaran Panchayats.
Residents exhibited overwhelming enthusiasm and passion during the events, featuring vibrant cultural programs, sports activities, and showcases of various government-sponsored schemes on big LED screens.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) is gaining significant momentum in its mission to bring about a transformation in Rajouri District as well, ensuring comprehensive coverage under Government schemes and uplifting the lives of its residents.
This visionary initiative is embarking on an extraordinary journey, reaching the unreached and achieving remarkable saturation of various government programs and initiatives, thereby catalyzing community empowerment and fostering lasting progress.
Since its launch on November 25, 2023, the VBSY has covered 158 Panchayats in Pulwama District. There, the campaign has effectively delivered the impact of the Government schemes directly to the grassroots, aligning with the Prime Minister’s message.
The celebration of this milestone resonated with the local population, embracing the main motive wholeheartedly. Cultural festivities, including “Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke,” added vibrancy to the event, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the region.
Expanding its reach, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra extended to twenty more Panchayats in Baramulla District, including Uthoora, Kachumuqam, and Vizer in Block Wagoor.
The initiative aimed to sensitize the people and saturate Centrally Sponsored Schemes throughout the block. IEC Vans received a warm welcome in nearly 20 Panchayats, engaging citizens with knowledge-enriching audio-video material.
In Ganderbal, the VBSY covered six Panchayats namely Rangil, Baba Daryadin, Khalmulla, Buserbugh, Shahpur, and Budergund.
IEC Vans equipped with audio-visual facilities disseminated knowledge on Government initiatives, fostering active participation in the nation’s holistic development.
