JAMMU, Jan 5: Union Government’s outreach programme Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has been making a significant impact across Jammu and Kashmir by reaching out to the eligible people by providing them with the benefits of various welfare schemes.
In a sweeping journey through Pulwama District, the campaign (VBSY) has transitioned from municipal to village levels.
At Government Higher Secondary School Dadasara, Deputy Commissioner Dr Basharat Qayoom joined the event, displaying remarkable sportsmanship in a badminton match with students.
The spirited Tug of War competition echoed the enthusiasm of the participants, undeterred by challenging cold weather conditions.
Moving beyond Pulwama, the transformative Yatra reached Srinagar, where the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) organized a significant event at Zainakote.
“Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” sessions provided a platform for beneficiaries to share life-changing experiences.
The event also offered free health check-ups, Aadhar card registrations, Ayushman card generation, and sign-ups for various Government schemes, ensuring essential services are easily accessible.
The Yatra’s impact resonated in Block Breng Anantnag, where extensive public engagement prevailed.
Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans traversed multiple Gram Panchayats, promoting awareness about welfare programs and encouraging active “Jan Bhagidari.”
Surpassing expectations, the Yatra united over 2.50 lakh participants across 335 Gram Panchayats and 138 urban local bodies in Anantnag.
Kathua District witnessed a growing wave of participation in VBSY initiatives. The Yatra’s ripple effect extended to Panchayats like Goond and Bhajwal in Block Nagri, signifying a collective commitment towards rural empowerment and community development.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continued its outreach in Reasi District as well, covering Bharakh and Sildhar Panchayats.
Equipped with IEC materials, the Yatra Van aimed to maximize beneficiaries under Central Government schemes by providing information directly to the people.
Rajouri District experienced the Yatra’s impact through visits to various Panchayats. The initiative accelerates development by fostering the implementation of different Government schemes, aiming to improve residents’ lives.
In Ramban District, Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary led the Yatra, emphasizing community engagement and youth participation.
With over 70,000 participants, including 27,000 women, the Yatra covered urban and rural areas, educating the public about schemes like PM-JAY Ayushman Card, Poshan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, KCC, PM Kissan Nidhi, and more.
Expanding its outreach in Udhampur District, VBSY broadened its impact to cover Barmeen Lower & Mali in Ghordi & Panchari Blocks.
The day’s activities include a broadcasted message from the Prime Minister, a VBSY film screening, Sankalp Pledge, ‘Meri Kahani meri Zubani’ sessions, and the distribution of calendars, showcasing vibrant participation from various stakeholders.
Panchayat Chak Salarian, Block Ramgarh, in Samba District witnessed a grand spectacle of development and progress today, as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra made its way to the village.
The villagers welcomed the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van with open arms and hearts and participated in various activities that showcased the achievements and opportunities of the Government schemes.
They listened to the inspiring message of Prime Minister, who urged them to join hands in building a new India. They also took the Sankalp pledge, committing them to the vision of a self-reliant, developed and prosperous nation.
