JAMMU, Dec 30: Reaffirming the commitment to fostering innovation, skill development and entrepreneurship among students in the region, Prof Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), held a significant meeting with Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) here today.
The meeting focused on collaborative efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the university and beyond. Both leaders emphasized the need to equip students with the skills and resources required to establish successful enterprises and contribute to the socio-economic growth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Iqbal stated, “BGSBU is dedicated to nurturing talent and enabling our students to become job creators rather than job seekers. The University looks forward to actively engaging with JKEDI towards establishing an ecosystem of innovations and entrepreneurship in the campus.”
He said that the collaboration between BGSBU and JKEDI is expected to provide a robust platform for students to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, access mentorship, and gain exposure to real-world business challenges.
