VC distributes certificates

JAMMU, Aug 14: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof MPS Ishar, distributed certificates among the successful candidates of 14th Batch of Global Understanding Course in an impressive function, here today.
The result of 14th Batch comprising of 15 students undergoing the said course at University of Jammu in collaboration with East Carolina University, USA was declared today.
While distributing the certificates, Prof Ishar appreciated the creative efforts being undertaken by the University in broadening the horizon of the students.
According to Dr Parikshat Singh Manhas, Course Coordinator, the Course on Global Understanding had started in August, 2005 with the special efforts of University of Jammu administration, keeping into view the importance of networking and collaborations.
He added that the initiative to collaborate with East Carolina University was undertaken to make University of Jammu a hub of Academic, Research, and Extension activities and thus the Global Understanding Course was started.
Currently there are 45 foreign Universities from 28 countries participating in the Global Understanding Course. These partner institutions are diverse and worldwide and communicate through live video and chat technology. At present the next batch of Global Understanding Course admission process is on.
The 14th batch students interacted with the students of three foreign universities under the International Collaborative program.
