VC holds interactive session with officers, teaching staff

JAMMU, May 30: Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu (SKUAST-J) Dr DK Arora today held an interactive session with the varsity officers and teaching staff.
While speaking, Dr Arora emphasized that the teachers and the scientists of the university while taking up academic, research and extension pursuits should prioritize the issue with the vision in short-term and long-term perspectives.
Dr Arora deliberated that for the better administration of the university, powers should be decentralization so that the priority work can be carried out smoothly and well-in-time.
He elaborated that the teaching staff should impart quality management education in agriculture and veterinary sectors so that the education becomes job oriented. Dr Arora stressed that there should be more MoU’s with other universities, institute of national and international repute for engagement in the research and academic values of the university to benefit both the students and teaching staff.
The officers of the university Director Education, Director Research, Registrar, PPMO, Deans and Comptroller appraised the Vice Chancellor about the functioning of the university with respect to the teaching, research, extension and administration.
Earlier, Director Extension presented the welcome address while at the end, Registrar, presented vote of thanks.
