VC JDA, CCI teams visit new terminal at Bus Stand

JAMMU, Dec 23: On the request of Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu, Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority (JDA), Pankaj Magotra today visited the newly constructed bus terminal at Jammu and took stock of the hardships being faced by traders.
In this connection, a team of CCI Jammu headed by Arun Gupta apprised the Vice Chairman JDA about the problems being faced by shopkeepers of the old and new terminals of General Bus Stand Jammu.
Rajiv Gupta junior vice president, Gaurav Gupta, general secretary and Rajesh Gupta secretary also accompanied the president CCI Jammu. Madhu Sharma president General Bus Stand Shopkeeper Association and Ramesh Tak, President Trader Welfare Association, General bus stand were also present.
The shopkeepers of new bus terminal apprised the Vice Chairman that the customers are not reaching the new terminal. They further apprised the Vice Chairman there is several shortcomings for a smooth start of the terminal as some furnishing work is still pending like power connections, water logging, Lift not functional etc. They requested the Vice Chairman to address these genuine issues and take necessary steps to make the newly constructed terminal operational.
Arun Gupta said that the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha had inaugurated the new Bus Stand Terminal in the month of February but surprisingly this much awaited facility is yet to become completely operational.
Gupta appealed to the Vice Chairman JDA to take necessary step in addressing the issues raised by traders of General Bus Stand and take all possible steps for smooth functioning of new Bus Stand Terminal.
Later the Vice Chairman and CCI visited the Old Bus Stand and listened to the problems being faced traders.
The Vice Chairman JDA gave a patient hearing to the traders of Bus Stand and assured the CCI team that all the aforesaid shortcomings will be resolved within shortest possible time.
