JAMMU, Apr 3: Prof Mohan Pal Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, today released a book titled ‘Contemporary Trends in Tourism and Hospitality Management’ edited by Prof Ashok Aima of Central University Jammu, Dr Vinay Chauhan, Associate Professor in JU Business School and Dr Jaya Bhasin, Associate Professor, Central University of Jammu.
The book is fourth in series of the books published under UGC SAP- DRS-I of The Business School which has been recently upgraded to UGC SAP – DRS –II.
Earlier, Prof Ishar lauded the efforts of the editors for inviting the contributions from various stakeholders of national and international repute from both industry and academia.
The book is published by Primus Books, New Delhi, under JU-PB Series. This book highlights areas of contemporary relevance in tourism and thereby develops an effective framework to provide better understanding about dimensions pertaining to its promotion and development. This book has been written keeping in view the current scenario in which expectations of different stakeholders for sustainable tourism have been reflected. The book is divided into three parts viz, Niche Tourism, Tourism and Regional Division, and Tourism and sustainability. Different chapters bring together the specialized areas of research for the benefit of those working in tourism sector. The various contemporary thoughts about Innovative concepts like Dark tourism, Urban Heritage Tourism, Hospitality Management and Airline Service Quality Benchmarks in tourism have been compiled well in the book.
