VC Sai Nath University for basic facilities in border area schools

POONCH, June 25: Dr Shazad Malik, Vice Chancellor of Sai Nath University who is also native of district Poonch, today requested Governor N N Vohra to provide at least basic facilities in Government schools near borders.
Highlighting the plight of Government schools in Poonch and especially in border villages, Dr Shazad said on the name of infrastructure, many schools in these areas were just running in boundary walls without proper roof and floor, forget other facilities.
While addressing a gathering, including youth and students of border villages Dharana and Gholad in Mendhar during his youth educational and motivational program, the VC also demanded that the work on Poonch Campus of Jammu University be started at an earliest so that the students of district Poonch need not to leave their homes and parents for higher education. He expressed displeasure for such inordinate delay in starting of construction work on Poonch campus of JU.
The Vice Chancellor also appealed the educated youth of the area to expose corrupt elements in the society with the help of civil rights like Right to Information and Public Service Gurantee Act.
In his address, he also asked the people and especially youth to refrain from ideology that teaches hate against any person, community or our beloved nation and stay together.  Earlier, in the day, a large number of people from village Dharana and Gholad welcomed the VC and appreciated him for holding educatioanal and youth motivational programs in far flung areas.
