JAMMU, Oct 27: Vice Chan-cellor SKUAST-Jammu, Prof Pradeep K Sharma released a book on “Agriculture Develo-pment in India” during the valedictory function of National Conference of Maharashtra Society of Agricu-ltural Econo-mics on “Impact of Agricultural Technologies in Enhancing Growth and Income.
The book is authored by Dr Jyoti Kachroo, Professor (Agricultural Economics), Dr Anil Bhat Assistant Professor and Rohullah Amin, Ex- Scholar, Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM. The valedictory function was attended by eminent scientists from across the country.
The book is quite valuable for the researchers, policy makers and administrators in generating awareness about the Agriculture Development in India. Agriculture development still provides a crucial foundation for growth in agricultural and non-agricultural sectors in view of its contribution towards labour employment. The book would prove to be a big storehouse of knowledge.
