REASI, July 20: A young Village Defence Committee member shot himself dead with his rifle inside home at Talwara in Reasi under mysterious circumstances, this evening.
The deceased, identified as Jagdev Singh (26), son of Suram Singh, was found critically injured by bullets from his rifle at his home around 5 pm today. Though he was rushed to District Hospital by the family members, doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police has registered the case for investigating cause behind the death to ascertain whether it was suicide, accidental firing or murder.
