UDHAMPUR, Sept 2: A Village Defence Committee (VDC) member allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in village Chapper, Latti.
As per police sources, a VDC member namely Darshan Kumar (31), son of Amar Nath of Chapper, Latti allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.
Finding him hanging, family members informed the police and the body was shifted to Public Health Centre (PHC) Latti, where after conducting postmortem, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
