REASI, Apr 17: A middle aged Village Defence Committee (VDC) member committed suicide by shooting himself with his rifle.
His identity was established as Abdul Hamid (50) son of Samdhu Magra of Andher in Reasi. He reportedly shot himself at his house and died on the spot.
Cause behind the provocation and taking extreme step could not be ascertained while police have registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
