JAMMU, Apr 22: To commemorate its 4th Annual Raising Day, Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association today organized a function at Kotli Shah Doula, where Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris were felicitated.
A large number of Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and their dependents from Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua and Jammu participated in the function.
The function was held under the stewardship of association’s president, Shashi Sharma. Kripa Shanker, chief manager (admin), SBI Railhead Complex Jammu, Gurpreet Singh was the chief guest where as Dharam Pal, who represented Co-operative Society, BD Bari and Harinder Mahajan, chairman, J&K Development Forum, were guests of honour.
On the occasion, a large number of Veer Naris and ex-servicemen were felicitated. Also, the grievances and problems of the ex-servicemen, war widows and their dependants were highlighted and discussed.
In his keynote address, president of the association, Shashi Sharma and general secretary, Darshan Kumar demanded one rank one pension stating that separate pension rules in accordance with CCS rules are cruelty upon central paramilitary forces.
They also demanded revision of pension of pre 2006 retirees as per Supreme Court Judgment, CSD facilities not CPF, establishment of central paramilitary forces welfare boards, ECHS facilities instead of CGHS, compensation commensuration with MSP, exemption from new pension scheme, etc.
On this occasion, the chief guest distributed water coolers among the needy personnel. Harinder Mahajan also honored the Veer Naries by distributing dinner sets.
