Veeri for making revenue documentation process public friendly

JAMMU, Mar 10: Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabil-itation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today asked revenue officials to make the revenue documentation process public friendly.
The Minister was speaking to a delegation of All Jammu & Kashmir Patwar Association at his office here.
Saying that a Patwari acts as the nodal officer of the Revenue Department at the grassroots level, Veeri impressed on them to make the documentation process public friendly.
He said it is imperative that revenue officials work with responsibility up to the expectations of the common people. Veeri impressed upon the deputation that they have an important role to safeguard the assets of the Government as well.
The Minister directed the revenue officials to follow timeline notified by the Government in issuance of certificates and documents like Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), Reserve Category Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Income Certificate, Fard Intikhab, Extract of Girdawari, Extract of Massavi, Extract of Jamabandi, Attestation of Mutation, Marriage certificate and other related documents.
Veeri also said that department is contemplating to organize a one-day conference of Patwaris where they can have an interaction with experienced officers of the department at higher level.
The deputation presented a charter of demands to the Minister and Veeri assured the deputation that all the genuine demands would be looked into.
