ANANTNAG, Dec 11: Minister for R&B and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri, today handed over one ambulance each to Government District Hospital Anantnag and Emergency Hospital Qazigund. The ambulances have been provided by the Excise Department under Social Responsibility Programme.
Veeri was accompanied by Member of Parliament, Nazir Ahmad Laway, DC Excise Department Khurshid Ahmad Shah, CMOs of Anantnag and Kulgam, BMOs, doctors of Emergency Hospital Qazigund and other concerned.
For infrastructural upgradation, the Minister directed the CMOs to prepare a list of requirements regarding district hospitals, sub-district hospitals and Emergency Hospitals under their jurisdiction.
He said since most of the patients are dependent on facilities provided by the Government, it is the prime objective of the incumbent Government to provide best healthcare facilities at all district hospitals of the State.
He said the Government is planning to develop model hospitals in every constituency of the State, so that healthcare facilities are improved at the grassroots level.
