RAMBAN, Apr 20: A vehicle of Dumper make skidded off the road and landed into a gorge at Bolnitop area of Gool here today leaving the driver dead.
Police sources informed that the ill fated vehicle bearing registration number JK19A-0153 went out of control of its driver and plunged into a gorge on a link road at Sosine Bolnitop.
After getting the information about the accident locals with the help of cops started rescue operation but found the driver dead in the gorge.
Police shifted the dead body of the driver to CHC Gool where after completing legal formalities it was handed over to the family members of the deceased for last rites.
Police identified the deceased driver as Mohammad Iqbal Wani, resident of Ghora Gali, Gool.
Cops have registered a case in this regard under relevant Sections of law at Police Station Gool and started investigation.
