JAMMU, Oct 30: Chinore police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, on October 25 this year, a complaint was lodged by Mandeep Kerni of with Police Post Chinore regarding the theft of his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AQ-6168.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 390/18 under section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigations started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Chinore Police Post detained several suspects for questioning and finally arrested the thief.
The accused has been identified as Lovely Kumar, son of Darshan Lal, a resident of Lower Barnai.
On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen motorcycle. One more motorcycle wanted in FIR Number 354/18 under section 379 RPC was also recovered from the possession of the thief.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Chinore Police Post SI Ranjeet Singh Rao arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwer Singh Slathia, SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
