JAMMU, Mar 8: Talab Tillo police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered six stolen motorcycles from his possession.
As per police sources, on March 1 this year, a case under FIR Number 22/19 under section 379 RPC was registered at Nowabad Police Station regarding theft of motorcycle from main market Talab Tillo.
During the course of investigation, a team from Talab Tillo Police Post led by SI Anil Sharma rounded up several suspects and finally nabbed the vehicle lifter, who has been identified as Prem Lal alias Bittu, son of Krishan Singh, a resident of Bhagatpur, Pounichack.
On the disclosure of vehicle lifter, police recovered stolen motorcycle along with five other motorcycles.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
