JAMMU, June 12: Rehari Police arrested a vehicle lifter.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Police Post Rehari by a person namely Chintan Gupta, son of Dwarka Nath Gupta of Rehari Colony District Jammu stating that his Activa scooty bearing registration number JK02BB-1392 which was parked outside Science and Technology Office Rehari was stolen by some unknown thieves.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 109/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by Incharge Police Post Rehari SI Ahmed Din was constituted under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
The team after stern efforts and with the help of technical assistance rounded up three suspects out of which one accused namely Harsh Dev Mehra, son of late Madan Lal Mehra of Old Rehari District Jammu confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen scooty was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
