Vehicle lifter arrested, stolen motorcycle recovered

JAMMU, Sept 25: Bishnah police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, on August 11 this year, a complaint was lodged by Ram Dutta, son of Bhurri Ram of Phinder with Police Station Bishnah stating that some unidentified persons had stolen his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BM-3337, when he had gone to meet his brother at Deoli.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 172/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police picked up a suspect for questioning, who broke down and confessed that he had stolen the motorcycle.
Police arrested the accused, who has been identified as Sandeep Gupta, son of Manohar Lal, a resident of Ward Number 4, Bishnah. On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team comprising of ASI Parshotam Sharma, SgCt Rakesh Kumar, Constable Vinod Kumar, SgCt Sharief and SPO Pawan Saini made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh, SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
